it's time to start the count down

My Izaya is slightly affected by Obsessive Compulsive Disorder. It's not too bad, but it's enough to make him not want Namie other people to touch his things or move things around etc. This also goes for being touched. He may like getting up in Shizuo's business, but if Shizuo actually grabbed him or touched him he wouldn't be happy (of course, Shizuo is a monster, so this is a given, but it goes for other people too.) Bodily functions disgust him, including sexual functions. He might tease on the internet, or even in real life, but you would have to be extremely close to him to ever get in his pants (and knowing Izaya, that would never happen. Who needs friends?) 

Izaya is paranoid as all get out. He may seem carefree and laid back, but he's constantly watching other people. He can read people. He knows what and how they would do something, if they did it. It frightens him, at times, even if he would never admit it. He probably doesn't even realize it half of the time, but while he loves humans, he also knows what they're capable of. Shizuo is massively strong and has a horrible temper. This doesn't frighten him, because Shizuo is so predictable, but he always has to calculate his movements and watch his every move.
He is also very paranoid when it comes to what I call "Final Destination" type of deaths and accidents. He doesn't want to die enough as it is, so he'd never put himself into a situation where he might even accidentally. He would never drive a car, and if he has to ride in one he makes sure his driver is going the speed limit. He also never wears a seat belt because he'd be afraid of getting trapped if they wrecked. He would probably be terrified if Celty ever took him on her motorcycle (and she would probably laugh at him.) This goes for elevators too, which he refuses to go into. He will always take the stairs. He doesn't let this get in the way of his daily life, but it's there. This is also the reason I can't see him going to the doctors (another reason why he uses Shinra) or the dentists. He doesn't smoke and he keeps his teeth clean and flosses that's good enough for him. He'd never let someone poke around his mouth, he'd feel too vulnerable.
 

He just doesn't have them. He doesn't have friends, he would much rather watch someone than talk to them. He calculates how they are by what they do, not what they say, because humans lie. While he can read people to tell if they are or not, he wouldn't want to deal with it anyway. This also goes back to him not liking to be touched. If he were in a relationship (platonic or otherwise) people might think it's okay to give him a slap on the back or a hug or worse. He's not fond of women because of this; they're too clingy and touchy and make him uncomfortable. He's not even close to his sisters, even if he cares for them. They confuse him and make him worry and he hates it. He figures he should have a relationship with them (even Shizuo has one with his brother and he's an animal,) but he just... doesn't know how to make it work. They would probably be weirded out by it anyway. They're also girls, which from a male point of view he doesn't get at all, even if he observes both men and women.
